Mike Batt - Waves (1980 UK)

Mike Batt-(06/02/1950, Southampton, Hampshire, United Kingdom) - voc, k, composer, arranger, songwriter, record producer. Son of an engineer. Already in the mid-sixties, during high school, was a singer and pianist of the group beats Phase Four, recorded her first single, including in 1966, What Do You Say About That / Think I'll Sit Down And Cry for Decca.
In 1968 he was employed at Liberty record - as a songwriter, arranger and record producer (played worked with Jo-Ann Kelly, The Groundhogs and Hapshah And The Coloured Coat), and after some time as a talent scout. He recorded for the first solo singles, such as In 1968 Mr. Poem / Fading Yellow.
In 1969 he was an independent composer and producer (he started his own music publishing company and agency producer - Songs and Batt Batt Enterprises).
Batt opted to handle all of the vocals on "Waves" himself (and a natural lead singer he is not), but the quirky nature of his voice is ideally suited for the unpredictable and unconventional turns his music frequently takes. engaging pop numbers intertwined with prog and orchestrated rock & roll accented by electric guitar and saxophones.
He composed music for many films.
In the early eighties, made a journey by yacht, round the world.

Slash:
Myles [Kennedy] told me that Ronnie Montrose left. Fucking grief . 'Montrose' is one of the best rock and roll. He was a great inspiration for me. R.I.P, man.
David Ellefson:
R.I.P Ronnie Montrose! I am sad to hear that. I had the pleasure to play with it somehow between 2005 and 2007. Very energetic and crazy wild man guitarist. Many learned from him! Rest in peace.
Glenn Hughes:
